Volunteering Opportunities

/help is always looking for people to volunteer with us and we have a range of different opportunities.

Below are our current list of volunteering opportunities.

Games Night Host

Role responsibilities

 

  • Host a game night once a week in the /help discord

  • Announce the game you’ll be hosting in the relevant channel at least 24 hours beforehand

  • Ensure that the voice chats stay PG and that everyone feels comfortable

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Someone who is empathetic and has a passion for supporting people

  • An avid gamer who particularly enjoys multiplayer games

  • Someone who enjoys and is comfortable leading groups of people 

  • 18 or over

  • Fast, reliable internet connection

  • Good quality microphone

  • Discord savvy

Administration Assistant

Our Admin Assistants will be assisting our trustees with organising documents within our google drive, taking meeting notes, organising meetings, and other general administration activities.

Role Responsibilities

  • General administrative tasks

  • Minute taking

  • Scheduling meetings


We welcome applications from any backgrounds with any experience, but the role is remote so you must have access to a computer and an internet connection.


What we’re looking for​

  • 18 or over

  • Fast, reliable internet connection

  • Discord savvy

Social Media Assistant

Role responsibilities

  • Create posts for Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook

  • Come up with ideas for TikTok and YouTube shorts

  • Reach out to small content creators/brands to increase awareness

 

What we’re looking for

  • Someone who is well versed in social media

  • Someone who is passionate about gaming and/or mental health 

  • 18 or over

Website Copywriter

Role responsibilities

  • Write copy for our new website 

  • Research topics such as mental and physical health

  • Attend meetings with trustees to discuss progression of the website

 

What we’re looking for

  • Someone who is empathetic and has a passion for supporting people

  • Someone with an interest in copywriting or a willingness to learn

  • 18 or over

  • Fast, reliable internet connection

  • Discord savvy

Content Writer

Our Content Writers will be responsible for writing blog posts on a wide range of topics to engage wider audiences. Topics could include (but not limited to) gaming reviews, gaming news, movie reviews, movie news, career advice, mental health, staying healthy etc. No formal qualifications are required, however past experience is desired (but not essential).

 

Role responsibilities

  • Create blog posts for our new website (releases on 16th April)

  • Attend weekly/fortnightly brainstorms

  • Proofreading other blogs

 

What we’re looking for

  • Someone who is passionate about writing

  • Someone who is passionate about any of our core values (gaming, media, mental health, physical health, sex education, career advice, bereavement advice)

  • 18 or over
